How Does the Ladder for Tennis and Padel Work?
Our tennis and padel ladder operates differently from a traditional ladder competition. We use a smart algorithm to select opponents for you, so you don’t have to search for one yourself. As a player, you can decide when you want to play and indicate when the system should find a new opponent for you. Once a suitable opponent is found, a match will be scheduled.
This way, you can play as much or as little as you want, depending on your schedule.
Signing Up
It all starts with signing up for a ladder. To do this, you need to create an account, where you must enter your details and rating. Please provide your rating (scaling form 1 being a pro, to 10 being completely new to tennis or padel), as it will determine your initial placement in the ladder. Your rating will be updated after each match, ensuring you are better placed in future events.
Joining the Ladder
Once you have created an account, you can sign up for a ladder. You can either search for a ladder yourself or use the link sent by the ladder organizer. After signing up, you will need to wait for the organizer’s approval. Once accepted, you will be able to see the matches in the ladder and the ranking of all participants.
Setting Availability

The tennis and padel ladder works best when you set your availability.
It is essential to indicate when you are available. You can do this under the Availability section. Based on your availability, matches will be scheduled. In the calendar, you can select the days when you cannot play.
Control, But Not Complicated
As a player, you have full control over when and how often matches are scheduled and played. You will never have more than one active match per ladder at a time. Your next match will only be scheduled after you complete your current one.
As a ladder organizer, you also have a lot of control:
- You set the start and end date of a ladder season.
- You choose the sport type:
- Singles Tennis
- Doubles Tennis
- Padel
- You determine the match format:
- Best of two sets
- Best of three sets
- Only games (for timed matches)
- You decide whether season registrations are open or closed.
- You manage the participants of the ladder.
In short, as an organizer, you have full control without excessive effort!
